i love photographing children because they feel so little pressure to have to pose for the camera, and that allows me to capture more of their true personality coming through. it wasn’t hard for me to pick up on the fact that matthew is a very bright little boy who loves his cars, his puzzles, his sisters, and his parents very much. and the twins… i couldn’t believe how calm and good-natured they were, even in being shuffled around for pictures.

after five years, our landscaping is finally starting to fill in, and matt also recently re-did our front stoop which adds alot. this is the point in the year when things are at their peak (before the japanese beetle assault begins…) that reminds me, i am going to take a look in my home remedies book today and see about making up something to try to ward off the bugs a bit more this year. i’ll also try to get some more pictures today of more of our flowers and plants…. for now, here’s our carrots, beans, window boxes, lettuce, onions, and matt’s handiwork.

i had the pleasure of photographing an old friend’s extended family at the beach earlier this week. tracey has 2 sisters and 1 brother, and between them they have added 8 little boys to the family in the past 5 years!

my littlest niece is three months old already!
